Mark Cimino Is Appointed as President of the Board of Directors for the Del Oro Caregiver Resource Center

Join our CiminoCare team in congratulating our CEO, Mark Cimino, for his appointment as President of the Board of Directors for Del Oro Caregiver Resource Center for the 2024-25 fiscal year.   With the motto “Caring for families who care” Del Oro is dedicated to supporting family caregivers through a wide range of  resources, education  and support services.  The organization supports 13 of Northern California’s Gold Country counties — Alpine, Amador, Calaveras, Colusa, El Dorado, Nevada, Placer, Sacramento, San Joaquin, Sierra, Sutter, Yolo and Yuba. Last year, Del Oro provided over 30,000 hours of respite care for 570 family caregivers, and over 11,000 of consultation with over 1,400 family caregivers.

CiminoCare has supported Del Oro’s efforts for many years through its annual Cruise Around the World fundraiser and as a direct provider of family caregiver respite services, as a board member, and now the leadership role as President of the board.

CiminoCare’s values of increasing access to care and collaborating with community and healthcare systems to support the growing needs aligns well with Del Oro’s vision for the future.

Mark Cimino shared “I’m honored and humbled to serve the great team at Del Oro focused on preserving and expanding services to older adults, especially family caregivers who may have complex challenges and often have no place to turn. My goal is to work on initiatives that will increase the sustainability of this critical community support organization.”

As California’s population continues to age and direct care services become more stretched, it is more important than ever to support creative partnerships and collaborative initiatives to meet this growing need
